MDFIX is an open-end fund of funds that invests into discounted closed-end funds. We restrict the potential investment universe of MDFIX to CEFs that invest in fixed income securities. More specifically, we target fixed income CEFs that (1) trade at significant discounts to their NAV and (2) pay regular periodic cash distributions.
