Estoc has my favourite strong attack in the game, is reasonably powerful, quite quick, is quite long, and has all the utility that the thrusting swords have. Poison can be decent, but you lose a lot of normal damage. Bleed kinda sucks. Magic can be decent if you also have a buff. Lightning would be better. I don't advise infusions if you don't have the ability to cast a spell buff. On a weapon that has not been infused you can match resins to the situation.

I have tried a bunch of new builds since launch, and I just haven't found anything quite as cancerous as the estoc was in DKS2. Its time for me to go back. I loved the estoc in both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, but the Dark Souls 2 version seems a bit underwhelming.
