Find a 5.3L using the same operating system and swap the engine segments. I did that when my buddy put a 6.0L in his truck. It already had an 0411 I had tuned. I swapped the tune from a 5.7L/4L60E to a 6.0L/4L80E. Personally I would go bigger than a 5.3L in truck but that is me.

I would just get a LS style 4L60E at a minimum. Personally I would ditch the 60E and get a 4L80E though. You could probably trade off the LS1 for an iron 6.0L too, which would work better for the swap. The truck accessories, intake and exhaust manifolds are an easier swap into a truck. They fit the best on OBS LS swaps in 2WD. Do NOT use the Speed Engineering headers, they say they work but they don't really on the 2WD, only the 4WD.I think the only year of the TH400 was the 1988 or 1988-1989 models. Your 1992 has a 700R4.
