I am using a Dex-based build, so I chose an Elven Curved Blade for my weapon (it has Finesse and deals 1d8 damage). However, I just saw today that it is a 2-handed weapon.At first glance, the hexcrafter archetype ( Ultimate Magic 48) looks like an attempt to recreate the hexblade core class from 3.5’s Complete Warrior for Pathfinder. Certainly, in terms of general flavor, the two classes share a lot. Many of the Magus feats are designed with a melee Magus in mind so we are more free to pick up a both the Gunslinger Dedication and then a Spellcasting dedication for more spellslots to Spellstrike with in this build. Ancestry is Human because this build uses the Multitalented Ancestry feat to grab the Wizard Dedication at level 9. Let's make our Magus an 'enchanter' type of character. Maxing Crafting will allow us to scribe magic scrolls, craft wands and staves that'll make up for our lack of spell slots.
