Sequoia is a very nice park. There are a lot of trees that you can get close to for pictures. The General Sherman Tree is easy to get to. Go to the parking lot and hike 7/10 of a mile OR take a shuttle from the parking lot to an easy 3/10 of a mile hike to the tree. Lots of beautiful scenery and big trees here. Kinda cool to stay at a lodge in the middle of the sequoia national park. Truth be told, it's overpriced, a little musty, a little rundown, with a sub-par cafeteria. Nice deck to eat on, but that's about it. Wish we checked out the reviews before we came because then we would have brought our own food like everyone else recommended.
