This is a Model 19-3, and the serial number is 2K23969. The serial number under the grips on the frame, and by the ejector match. I assume the hammer and trigger on yours are case-hardened and the ejector is blued. If so, you have a nickel revolver from the factory. There should be a “N” on the cyl. face. As said, the 241Kxxx is the SN and that dates the gun to early 1982. The -2 after M66 in the model number indicates the second engineering change, which occurred in 1982 and lasted until 1986 when the -3 was released. The Model 66 was initially released in 1970. The -2 change eliminated the pinned barrel and recessed charge holes in the cylinder.Your serial number range is 1973- 1974. The 2 inch model 10 was made in a square grip and a round grip.
