Subaru outback driver window reset.
Go to the pass door, roll the window down, then roll all the way up and hold the button for a couple seconds. That should fix it. It's in the manual somewhere, but I read about it here. It's love that makes a Subaru, not necessarily a logical user experience. Parts left out cost nothing and create no service problems.

There's a window reset procedure that might fix this - maybe caused by the battery disconnect. I believe it's in the owner's manual, but I have a bookmark with the procedure. I'm guessing you can do it on your passenger side, too.

Two weeks ago on a trip I heard a ping, and got a 8" crack on the drivers' side of the front windshield. The crack has now grown to 2/3 of the way across the windshield.Going back the garage, I turn the push-button start to ON (rather than ACC), and used the passenger side window button to run the window all the way up, all the way back down, and then up again. Try rolling all windows up then go to each individual door and hold the switch up for 5 seconds. So driver side door, hold switch up 5 second then passenger side door, hold switch up 5 seconds, etc until complete. Should reset and hopefully fix your issue. Reply. CrazyInTheCocoFruit. •.

On a routine visit for service, I asked the service dept to help me reset the passenger window. After the dealer reset failed to correct the window bounce, the service writer just use a screwdriver to clean out gunk in the window's upper channel. Problem solved! The bounce was just caused by gunk blocking full closure.Make sure car is running and in Park. Using the passenger side switch to reset it, just put it half way up and stop, then pull all the way up and hold the switch until it stops. Then push it all the way down and hold until it stops.
