Why wont my fourwheeler start.
Out of the blue the other day it would not start, it would just make a clicking noise. First thought the battery was dead, so I charged it. Same thing, click noise. The noise comes from the battery area and not from the engine area. All the headlights and dash lights come on so I don't think it is a power issue, but I could be wrong.

The starter engages and starts the motor fine when the motor is cold. however if you ride and try to restart the starter just spins and you can only start using the kick stater. I went to get on my warrior the other day, turned the key, pulled in the clutch, and hit the start button. She fired right up. Sounded great, as usual. I let out the clutch (in 1st gear), and it did not move an inch. As a matter of fact, it didn't even try to move.

If you feel or hear air coming out of your air box it means your intake valve is either too tight. or hanging open. If you hear air coming out of the exhaust pipe it means exhaust valve too tight or possibly burned. Jump the solenoid or put power directly to the starter and see if it turns over then. If so then the solenoid is bad. Or measure the voltage at the starter with the start button engaged. Its getting fuel, and its got spark. Even starting fluid straight thru the carb has no effect, just cranks. Anyone have any ideas.
Follow red wire off battery to a black box (Solenoid). Move rubber cover to the side on solenoid. Turn key on, parking break engaged.
