Yeah, it is a conundrum. I'm playing with 'They Knew', so I occasionally find cures on zombies, which keeps the Knox Virus from being too much of a death sentence. I actually use that 0.2 extra fanny pack space for Zomdoxycycline - it's a 24 hour immunity to the virus that the mod adds, which I find more interesting than the cure itself.

By default the black hazmat zombies spawn at a rate of 500 out of 100000. The cure has a 100% chance to spawn on them, and the vaccine to delay the infection is disabled with a 0% spawn chance. Because I haven't gotten around to trying Project Zomboid but they are about the same price and obviously that one has had more time to work on bugs.
