I have two CZ 452s (.17 HMR & .22 Mag), a CZ 455 (.22), a Tikka T1x (.17 HMR) and a Sako Quad Hunter (.22 & .17M2). All are threaded and shot suppressed except for the CZ varmint in .17 HMR. CZ 457 Varmint MTRs: Great option, but it leaves you less $ for an optic. Mine won't shoot Eley worth anything and every lot is at least 1130 FPS out of that 20.5" barrel. ... The CZ is by far the best of those listed but I am going to get at B-14r shortly instead because it is a 700 foot print, I want to use it as a trainer for my bolt gun, I plan on getting the B14R barreled action and drop it in an identical chassis as my bolt gun to get the same ergonomics, and similar pattern magazines, AICS.

Here is why: The real “advantage” of the Tikka is you can shoot NRL22 in Base Class and still have room for a decent optic. The use of an aftermarket stock immediately places you in Open Class. The cost of a T1X plus the KRG is not that far off from a B14R barreled action plus KRG. The Tikka is very nice, but is a light rifle.I have not shot the Tikka .22 or the Bergara .22 (own a B 14 Woodsman 6.5CM& love it). Do own a 457 American in 17HMR and love it. If I were to buy a new .22lr today, I would without hesitation get another 457. I actually ended up going a different direction. I got a good deal on a Bergara B14r barreled action, and put it into a KRG Bravo chassis. Not anywhere near vudoo money, but a step up from the Tikka and CZ. Now if only I could find SK standard+ ammo in stock anywhere. From experience with multiple examples the T1X and CZ are practically the same with regards to accuracy. Interestingly, the T1X samples have been a little better with high velocity ammunition compared to the CZ.
