The Glenfield line was Marlins store brand line and has different carvings instead of regular checkering. The Glenfield line was intended to be resold at a profit by mass merchandisers - thus the less expensive wood. For the 30A itself, it was the model following the Glenfield 30 - the difference being a full length magazine tube for the 30A. Over a quarter million of this model were made. Production was from 1971 to 1983.

Can a Marlin Glenfield 30a be modified to use 336 furniture? I have an old Glenfield 30a with some finish issues, I was going to refinish the gun, and put some new stocks on it to replace the worn and battered beech wood.
