I have been told that you should always use the "correct" size for what you are doing. While it's possible to modify the hinges and make things fit it almost always leads to problems.

I'm going to have to disagree with y'all and go with the AKV over the KP9. The only real benefit that I see the KP9 having is authenticity. The AKV was built more for performance and cost. The availability and price of magazines is a plus also if KUSA ever discontinues the KP9 or goes under mag availability will be a serious problem.
