yes I have, years ago I would clear over some metallic colors. they sometimes just don't look right without it, the flake comes to the top. any urethane clear should go over Ful-thane . if I do any metallic now its B/C only, I'm wondering why you would want to clear over urethane. s/s Jay D.

Do I have to shoot a clear over it if I’m using a metallic color? The last question is if I use a siphon gun, what tip size and psi works well with it. well the 483-30 is the correct activator for your full- base b/c .(its 483-15 for full-thane urathane s/s) as for clear its kind of a crap shoot i use to use chroma clear 7800s. but i don't think they make it any more and it was very spendy. on my last few job have been using limco lc4200. anyway you need to take all your information to your paint suplier …
