Is an abs light an out of service violation.
The ABS sensor light is on when I start the car, the traction light comes on almost right away as well (picture of outline of car with lines under it, next to ABS). I put the SUV into reverse and try to back up and it acts like the brakes are grabbing on the rear wheels.

Some enforcement will try to cite an ABS light on as a malfunction and going to court to fight the citation is an expense. Mostly, I have been lucky to not cross a scale with a non working light or one on all the time. Straight truck should be less troublesome, but even a 4 wheeler can have an ABS malfunction.
