If you have premium and use the cloud icon, Vortex installs the update, however, it asks you first if you want to "ADD VARIANT", or "REPLACE" the mod being updated. Not a good idea to automatically remove the older one in case you need to roll back, because of a bug in the mod. 1. Author.
I don't know how it got there because Vortex stores mods elsewhere. I had also uninstalled this version a long time ago and replaced it with a current one. In any case, the automatic update worked perfectly after manually deleting this folder. Dec 11, 2018 · afther investegating the problem my self i noticed that the mods that werent working missed their files in the plugin section (or atleast as far as i now, can't find any plugin that has any simularitie in the name). i tried reinstalling the mods and still noting. for exemple i have, Improved Map with Visible Roads 2.0 installed and enabled.

Automatic updates are a bad idea, due to how mod pages are set up, and the fact that some modders put their updates in a lower section on the page, so Vortex gives you the option to go to the mod page and choose which update you actually need.
"No automatic updates" will disable Vortex's automatic update feature. Mods (settings) Here you can set the base, download, and install path for the currently managed game, its downloads, and mods.
