Simulation: Create tools and weapons, construct and extend houses, stables and all manner of buildings as you grow an empire.The Dynasty Reputation is quite a useless system overall. And the arbitrary ceiling to be able to hire villagers connected to it, makes even less sense. You get showered with points through the main quest.
