Nov 25, 2017 · Hi, and welcome to the forum. I've owned 987 S, 981S, 981 GTS, and now a 718 Boxster S. These were/are my everyday drivers. I also owned 991 Turbo S and Audi R8 V10 Plus. Few thoughts, hope this helps: - The 718 feels much faster and pulls harder. The low end torque lets you hammer down at any point and you get long pulls from 3-7k rpms. 718 S is on another level. With the 981, you have to keep it above 4k rpms to keep the momentum going. - If you plan on tracking, the 718 is better.
