Well my 95 Colt SS Govt Enhanced 1911 has been working out of the box for over 25 years with thousands of rounds through it and still has never been sent to a repair shop or Colt factory for repairs .Trouble is the Wilson finish, like cerokote, is not as durable to holster. Whereas nitride is durable to wear but cannot handle CLP. My opinion is the best option is an ionbond coating like DLC, which is durable re: wear and is fine with CLP.
