The posture damage is reduced (seems about the level of Unsheathe now, which is still very good) and the recovery on the R2 version of the weapon art is longer, but not punishingly so. Update: Comparing to Unsheathe, I don't really notice much or any difference in the recovery time, so the slower recovery thing might be a red herring.
On an int>dex build, Moonveil is simply your best option. It provides the 1 thing sorceries are generally lacking, posture damage and strong normal attacks that cost no FP. SoNaF provides nothing better. It provides weaker normal attacks, less posture damage and a 2nd comet azur on top of the one you already have. If your build is int focused, you'll likely love this katana and it will decimate. I think its a mandatory weapon for Mages. I have it, used it for a little while, but I went back to strictly using my Carian Regal Staff. I'll probably be way more Moonveil'y in NG+. It’s actually trash bro better just sell it.
