Litter-Robot 3 is equipped with infrared emitters and sensors, called DFI sensors, located above the waste drawer that check if the drawer is full each time the globe returns to the Home position. Once a full waste drawer is detected, the unit will indicate it is full with a blue flashing light.

I replaced the base portion of my LR3 since I was getting the B-Y-R flashing after every cycle (manual or cat-activated). I got about 3 cycles out of my new base while testing it out before it started doing it again...with a BRAND NEW BASE and I did not even put my old wireless card into the new base in order to minimize variables for troubleshooting.You can try to clean the 2 green circuit boards and the 2 plastic brackets of the DFI sensor using isopropyl alcohol and a Q-Tip to remove any rust or dust from them. I got it to run a cycle, and even after unplugging it and plugging it back in it's stuck like this. After a while it ends up going to blue and red instead of purple.
