ImNotASWFanboy. People certainly have made controllers work with SWTOR, it requires lots of different button combinations but it works. Steam Deck also has L4/R4 and L5/R5 buttons on the underside so that combined with the streamlining of abilities might make it even easier to map across.

I had a similar issue I couldnt solve so I just tried anything and now it works. What I tried that worked was to delete / rename some file called `DiskCacheArena`. I recommend just rename or move it. File was located here for me. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars - The Old Republic\swtor.
