Usually there is only one active lobby in TDM. I live on the eastern coast of the U.S. so depending on where you are will also determine finding lobbies. There's probably some website that can check how often the game is played around or near you. There are some hackers from time to time but most of my experience with this game is positive. Yes you can still find good lobbies on team deathmatch but there are a lot of cheaters because of jailbroken ps3s and the theatre mode glitch. If you get a good lobby with no cheaters stay in because the game does not make you find new players unless people leave. Otherwise, everything else is pretty fine.
