Just ended things with my BPD GF...and I feel completely broken. I met a girl my senior year of college, and we fell instantly in love. We clicked magically, spent 24/7 together, and were officially "together" within 2 weeks of having first met (a big mistake in retrospect). Those first two weeks were pure heaven, and everything just felt right.
I have a gf with bpd and we are in a relationship, she suffers from bpd and depression and has increasingly suffered with these since her diagnoses. She can not regulate emotions herelf and constantly needs validation and reassurance for the basic things. In my 15 years of experience with my BPD exW, I found that there is no midpoints solution (between "too close" and "too far away") where you can safely stand to avoid triggering those two fears. Until a pwBPD learns how to better regulate her own emotions and tame her two fears, that Goldilocks position will not exist. August 4th, I had to move two hours away to attend the graduate program I'm starting. My girlfriend would be moving in at her own university on the 25th. For those intervening 3 weeks, she would be moving back in with her mom. Unfortunately, her mom still lives in the childhood home where so much of my girlfriend's trauma had taken place. Bpd aside when someone breaks up with someone they go through a mix of emotions like questioning if it was the right decision, so the mixed messages you're getting could be a reflection of that. I don't think it's fair she leaves you and wants you when she needs you and then just drops you again.
