2012 Rancher 420 fuel pump. New to the site with a question. I was asked to help my aunt with her Rancher that she uses daily on her farm. I have found out the fuel pump was not pumping correctly. I opened up the pump housing and removed the actual pump and with a little cleaning it would run. About a month ago, I put diesel in my 2016 Foreman 500, turned it on and ran about 1/10 of a mile, then remembered it was a gas burner. Drained the tank, replaced the spark plug, cleaned the filter under the seat, clean the oxygen sensor, disconnected battery and reconnected after an hour.

Get the engine running by squirting starting fluid into the throttle body. Then, stop squirting starting fluid and watch the volt meter as the engine sputters and dies.

I assumed it was the fuel pump, but im not getting any voltage to the pump. I plan on replacing the fuel filter while i have it apart. I connected 12V to the fuel pump after i removed it, it works. I dont hear the relay click behind the battery. I have 12V at the harness the relay plugs into, so im inclined to believe the relay is bad.
