I drained the driveshaft gear oil on my 2006 VTX 1300C. Soupy grey and watery,not a lot in there. I used Valvoline Durablend synthetic 80w-90w gear oil in my 97 1100c Shadow Spirit. It's typical for the final drive fluid to be grey/black, as it has molybedenum added to it at assembly.
