My car idles A LOT when I'm stopped at traffic lights, and more than a few times, my engine will just shut off. I can usually restart it without a problem but I can't imagine this is normal.This 2018 Jeep Compass is a temperamental, oil guzzling, auto-off/engine-failing piece of crap. ... The ASD or Auto Shutdown circuit supplies 12V to the injectors, PCM, coil/coil packs (and ignition capacitor). In early TJs it also supplies power the O2 sensor Heaters. The ASD relay is controlled by the PCM in the same way as the fuel pump relay.
