Basically all you are doing is turning the seat 90 degrees, which makes it deeper front to back and narrower side to side. If you plan on keeping this configuration the “deep” backs fit better, look better, and are the right choice.I love my lovesoft cushions, it's very comfortable. Owned it for a year now. HOWEVER, a couple weeks back I ran across a lovesac store and tested out the standard foam cushions. It was surprisingly VERY comfortable, but slightly firmer. Retains its shape much better. If I were to buy another lovesac, I would personally choose standard foam.
