Like I said, I’ve never had a 1911 before so I don’t have anything to compare it to other than my striker fired guns. I’ve been looking at Staccatos for the last few weeks and was tempted until I learned about the prodigy a week ago. The Staccato is probably the better but I don’t know if it’s going to be $1200 better.

The frame and slide finish is superior, the slide to rail fitment is slightly better (slide racks more smoothly on the Staccato) and the Staccato trigger is slightly crisper and lighter.
