Then i put a hanger in the spark plug hole and watched it come out (meaning TDC) 2. then i dropped the distributor in with rotor facing #1 cyl. 3. installed the oil pump drive shaft and oil pump from underneath.you can put it about where you want as long as you have number one cylinder on TDC drop the distributor in and where it seats go from there.
