I haven’t played Elden ring in a very long time but I used moonveil and mimic tear to finish the game and with the expansion coming “soon” I was wondering if the moonveil katana build and mimic tear were still powerful combo for easier boss kills with all the patches I’m sure I’ve missed.FYI Moonveil did not avoid nerfs. Its stagger damage was significantly decreased, but that wasn't documented in the patch notes. It's still pretty damn OP - they nerfed the crazy posture damage on the weapon art, but it still does tons of damage for its speed/range/FP cost - but there's no reason not to use it if you think it's cool. Obviously in pvp it’s still alive and well. Maybe at the higher end it’s better in pve but so far at lower levels it’s underwhelming. I can’t even use it to level anymore. It doesn’t even stagger regular gate front knights. That was part of what made moonveil so good. Now it just feels like a regular katana with a blue ranged attack.
