Marlin 39a firing pin.
Marlin 39a missfires. My 3 year old 39A missfires after about 5 or 6 shots. The next 2 or 3 missfire.The firing pin barely dents the rim of the cartridge. Then fires 5 or 6 more and same thing happens. Have tried different brands of ammo to no avail. Cleaned everything and firing pin is not peened and the chamber rim is not dented.

From Tyler, TX. Dropped this in a 1970's era marlin 336. The finger lever was too strong, so I went with my old standby (2/3's of a clicky pen spring) and the hammer spring was too weak.
