The 5 is the cold rating and the 40 is the hot rating so its ok to use in the summer. I was running the T5 10-30 in my 6.0 up until i traded it in. They recommended 10-30 year round for that motor unless you were doing lots of heavy towing. So i would go right ahead and use the T6. It helped a lot in the winter cold starts up here in MN.

If they are original with a lot of miles on them, then replace them and the clamps with new.
