Deus Ex: HR is a game that feels entirely stagnant from start to finish from a gameplay perspective. And I disagree that it gets a pass for being from ye ol' 2011, since a comparable game, Dishonored, game out a year later and doesn't suffer from this issue (and one I didn't play until after DE:HR).
