I think what I used for Phoenix before I got JML was Padme, gmy, GK, jka and Asoka tano, never got it to 3 stars but would beat it with some luck.

R5 this entire team: CLS-Chewbacca-Han-Chewpio-C3PO. Other than being a core team, being arguably a top 5 non GL team, and a team that shreds a large number of Hard Conquest squads, this team 3*s every Proving Ground challenge to date. Unless you are within striking distance of a GL, getting this squad geared should be a priority.
