The Penn 309 used to be the standard for bay trolling. Most guys used 30 lb mono in spring / summer - then put on 30lb Monel for late fall / winter. Pool noodles are cheap bouys but marking them is a PITA. I got the bullet floats and cut them in half. Used soldering iron and burned name into them all. Then DNR id # thing came into play and just used sharpie.Once i got the actual keel guard off, there was alot of leftover glue/adhesive on the hull. I soaked the whole thing with acetone and gently scraped with a plastic scraper. Once i got the bulk off i soaked a rag with acetone and rubbed most of the rest off.
